The local low-down

Five families in Queensland received referrals last weekend. I'm not sure why we find out a week later than the rest of the world, but it must be torture for the families concerned.

That's it for the 2005 LIDs from Qld, so it's not likely that there'll be referrals for a while now. Hangin' in there for Batch 8 & 9 who are next and have a February '06 log-in.

Hey...thanks for the kind words...and know we'll be excited about your referral, too!

Amy and I were just talking about how much we've enjoyed reading your blog, and decided that one day we want to come to Autralia (after all the expenses of adoptions!) We love to travel but have never been to Australia....

Hey, and did you see that 4 of them were 8 month old babies? Wow, I never expected to have our daughter come to us so young, but that would be great. Mind you, any age would be great :).

I hope to be seeing news about your referral very soon. Keep your chin up.

Did you see the news article in the Courier Mail on Monday (?) about the little boy who was adopted recently from China. So exciting! and very rare!
